We plan to leave La Pesca early in the morning and head to an area of Mexico called La Huasteca Potosina This region in the Sierra Madre Oriental is near Ciudad Valles and has many beautiful turquoise rivers and waterfalls. The last time we visited this area was in 2000 with 10 kayaking friends. I have heard they now have some lodges and campgrounds near the Rios Micos where we can park. Hopefully I will meet some kayakers to run a few easy sections of the river.
