|
|
| I am considering the purchase of one of two kayaks. Both Daggers. The 14.5' savannah is a 2002 bought in 2004 and supposedly used 12 times and comes with very nice paddle, spray skirt and pfd. It is in very good condition. The other is a new end of year 13' catalyst w 3 year warranty. Might seem like a no brainer - go with the new yak. Especially since they are basically the same price though the older boat is a larger boat, more expensive originally and more accessories. But I am moving up from a very small boat and want to do more lake paddling so would moving into the 14 footer be that much better for that than the 13 footer. I also still love my river paddling. Though the older boat is in excellent condition, is there any standard deterioration that occurs just because it is older (figuring it was not stored in the sun- and could you really tell that by looking). Thanks for any insight. I am really leaning towards the older 14.t footer since it is in like new condition anyway but want to make sure the age in itself is not a factor. THANKS |

Go with the Savannah, accesories are worth $200 and it's a better boat _________________
