hi Ann & other Cuy. paddlers- Thanks for posting, much appreciated! # 1 Your point re start time = 9.30 am is smart, as later on parking is a mess on weekends; even on weekdays it gets filled up with many cyclists coming to CVNP; even overflow parking at Peninsula gets filled...less so at BM (overflow parking on west side of RIverview rd = ski resort is not in use, eh! #2 As for river level, i trust the direct access to the Cuy -=right now it is at 3.5'; we recently paddled 2x at 4.2' that was ok, bit scrapy, 5.2' was much nicer; AW gauge page rates current level of 3.5' as above recommended, i think it is just the opposite, lower runnable! Will keep watching, not signing up yet, Andy

Hi Ann et al. -- as our website reports: at 4 pm on Fri June 9, the level is 3.2', AW is not rating this section, prior section (Ira Rd to 303) rated lower runnable; my guess it is quite 'scrapy' at this level... Andy

We use the cuyahoga gorge gauge in cfs. 320 CFs now. I have been down it as low as 190 cfs. Low but runnable. We have 3 folks going so far. I believe they saw the post from Lisa S. on the meetup site. Maybe it will rain tonight.

John,
I believe this section used to be rated a 6. Need a really old yearbook to verify that. Our email does not send, so I had to post a response.

Hi Ann & Chris & Trevor & Spencer-- Thanks for organizing and leading this Sat June 10 trip downriver on the Cuyahoga- my apology for posting levels and sounding a bit negative- the level at 3.2' worked out a-ok, there was some surf and rapids, plus standing waves- let's try for a Friday outing some time this summer!
