4/29,30 Best WW in WV weekend

Postby uc_david » Tue Apr 25, 2017 10:07 am

27 April Update:
there's a small chance that Middle Fork will have water.
cranberry very doubtful. most likely we'll end up on cheat.
i'll post here sometime friday.

26 April Update:
Based on current flows and lack of any rain in forecasts, I suspect we'll be left with choice 4 below.
But, maybe we'll get lucky.

I am again on the schedule to lead a trip this weekend.
I plan to paddle the "best" available whitewater.
Here's my wish list, in order of preference.
1. Middle Fork/Tygart Valley River
2. Cranberry
3. Upper Meadow
4. Arden section of TVR
4. Cheat Canyon
Depending on group's skill level, if none of 1,2,3 are available, we could look at LBS or TopYough or UpperYough.
If all else fails, we can go to LowerYough, but surely the Cheat will have water.

Please contact me if interested, and be sure to provide a cell number.
After Thursday morning I will have limited internet connectivity and may only be able to text.
